Spec-based review: scored from Beatbot's published specifications with the same weights as every other robotic cleaner. Not a hands-on test. How we score.

Our take

The Beatbot AquaSense 2 Ultra AI Robotic Pool Cleaner is a cordless, battery-powered robotic pool cleaner from Beatbot. It cleans the floor, walls, waterline and surface, navigates by building a map of the pool with HybridSense AI pool mapping (AI camera + dual ToF + ultrasonic) + CleverNav, and connects to its app over Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. A charge lasts up to 600 minutes and takes about 4.5 hours to refill.

On paper it scores 9.2 out of 10 (excellent) against other robotic cleaners. Its strongest areas are cleaning coverage (10.0) and runtime (10.0). It has no weak spot in our scoring: every area rates 7 or better.

The best price we found is $2,699 at Beatbot, 14% off its $3,150 list price. The typical robotic cleaner we track costs $899, so this one is pricier than most. For what it does, its value score is 0.6 out of 10.

To spend less for nearly the same spec score, the Aiper Scuba X1 Pro Max Cordless Robotic Pool Cleaner rates 9.5 for $1,699.99.

Bottom line: a excellent pick for hands-off cleaning of the whole pool, yards with trees: leaves get skimmed before they sink, pools with no outlet near the deck and scheduling and checking on cleans from your phone.

Pros

  • +Maps the pool, using HybridSense AI pool mapping (AI camera + dual ToF + ultrasonic) + CleverNav, so it covers the floor methodically instead of bouncing around.
  • +Climbs the walls and scrubs the waterline, where the scum line forms.
  • +Skims the surface as well, catching leaves before they sink.
  • +Cordless: no cable to tangle or drape across the pool.
  • +Long battery life: up to 600 minutes per cycle.
  • +Wi-Fi app: schedule and start cleans from anywhere.
  • +Top-access filter basket: no bag to wash out.
  • +Parks at the wall when it finishes or runs low, so it is easy to lift out.
  • +Rated for large pools, up to 3,875 sq ft.
  • +3-year warranty, longer than most.
  • +Works in above-ground pools as well as in-ground.

Cons

  • −Heavy to lift out at 29.1 lb.

Best for

  • Hands-off cleaning of the whole pool
  • Yards with trees: leaves get skimmed before they sink
  • Pools with no outlet near the deck
  • Scheduling and checking on cleans from your phone
