Robotic skimmer pool cleaner review
Spec-based review: scored from Wybot's published specifications with the same weights as every other robotic skimmer cleaner. Not a hands-on test. How we score.
The WYBOT F1 Solar Powered Robotic Pool Skimmer is a solar-assisted robotic surface skimmer from Wybot. It works the surface, moving in a pattern its maker doesn’t describe, and pairs with its app over Bluetooth. A charge lasts up to 480 minutes and takes about 6 hours to refill.
On paper it scores 6.8 out of 10 (fair) against other robotic skimmers. Its strongest areas are runtime (10.0) and cleaning coverage (8.0). Where it gives ground: navigation (4.0) and warranty (4.0). Only a 1-year warranty.
The best price we found is $299.98 at WYBOT, 25% off its $399.99 list price. The typical robotic skimmer we track costs $379.90, so this one is cheaper than most. For what it does, its value score is 8.3 out of 10.
If you want a Wi-Fi app, the cheapest we track with it is the Beatbot iSkim Robotic Pool Skimmer at $359.
Bottom line: a fair pick for yards with trees: leaves get skimmed before they sink, pools with no outlet near the deck, above-ground pools and buyers who want the most features per dollar.
